The most important thing for the eyes is to create an environment where they are not overstrained. Bifocal lenses allow you to see well in the distance and up close by flowing power from top to bottom.

Bifocal lenses are recommended for

1. I wear glasses regularly, but I have difficulty seeing fine print with my current lenses.
2. I use different pairs of glasses for distance and close-up, but it is a hassle to change them.
3. It is awkward to take off glasses when looking up close.

All progressive lenses handled in our store are the latest designs from HOYA. Lens technology is advancing day by day, and we are constantly acquiring new lens knowledge and skills on a daily basis.
Newly designed lenses require advanced fitting techniques. Therefore, we can create a world where you can see with a wide field of vision with less distortion by combining high quality lenses with the technology to fit the customer's face firmly and the frame fitting the face, not just the lenses and frames themselves. This is not just a single lens frame.

Progressive lens design types

As an eyeglass specialty store, we offer a wide range of products from the latest custom-made lenses to standard lenses.
How the "wobble" and "distortion" of progressive lenses are suppressed depends on the design.
However, since there are "individual differences" between good and bad lens designs, we always ask our customers to try our test lenses before purchasing.

1. Indivisual Design
These are the only custom-made lenses in the world that are made to fit each customer's frame shape after measuring the anterior tilt angle, tilt angle, and distance between corneal vertices.

2. Double-sided compound progressive design
This is a premium lens with a wide effective field of view by applying an aspheric design to both the front and back sides of the lens. This lens is used for frames with shallow frame curves.

3. Double-sided synchronous design
By applying an aspheric design to the front surface of the lens, peripheral distortion is minimized. Most single vision lenses sold in Japan have an aspherical outer surface.

At Osaka Eyeglasses, customers who purchase progressive lenses with an individual design, double-sided composite design or double-sided synchronized design will receive "UV protection on the back surface" free of charge, which is treated as an option at other stores.
