HOYA has created an indivisual-type progressive lens (intermediate-distance lens).

Its name is "Miyabi n" (雅n).

The name implies that it is an evolved version of the previously existing Miyabi series. When I heard this, I was reminded of the N700 series of the Tokaido Shinkansen (laugh).

As I explained in my previous introduction to Optina, where does the price difference between bifocal lenses (including intermediate and assisted lenses) come from?

The first is called the "refractive index," similar to a single focal length lens, and the second is called the "thickness of the lens."

Regarding the first, lens thickness, all lenses are flexible.

This time, Masa n will be a premium full-order lens with improvements in the second and third eyes over the previous Masa.

The main feature is the newly added "Binocular Natural Control Design" introduced in Optina. In the non-individual lens class, the basic design of Optina, which is the highest class of lenses, is equipped with the basic design of Optina, and furthermore, by adding an individual function, the "frame forward tilt angle," "distance between frame apexes," and "frame warp angle" when the customer wears the frames are firmly measured. We will create a lens that is unique to the customer.

In the past, the only lens with this level of design was the "Pole" lens, but it was also the most expensive progressive lens, so the new "Masa-n" model was created by removing the element of changing the design to suit the lifestyle of the Pole customer.

When written in this way, it sounds as if the lens is somehow incredibly inferior, but on the contrary, it is a lens in which all the other technologies that HOYA has accumulated through years of research have been put to use. It is unmistakably an ultra-high-spec high-end lens.
