Here are some questions for you

About the Store

What are your hours of operation and when are you closed?
We are open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. No holidays except for New Year's Eve.
I would like to drive, is there parking at the store?
Coin-operated parking is available in the basement of the commercial facility "Cosgi Third Avenue" where our restaurant is located.
Can I pay by credit card?
We accept all major credit cards including VISA, Master, JCB, American Express, and Diners. Installment payments by credit card are also accepted.
In addition, QR code payment is also available.
Can I use gift certificates?
We do not handle gift certificates.
Do you offer contact lenses?
We are handling contact lenses. New customers should visit an ophthalmologist and receive a "Contact Lens Making Instruction" form. If you bring the letter of instruction to our store, we will sell you contact lenses.

About Lenses

How long does it take for the finished product?
Lenses that are in stock at the manufacturer can be completed in the afternoon of the next day at the earliest. Custom-made lenses, such as bifocal lenses, take one week. Polarized lenses and adjustable lenses can take from 10 days to 3 weeks to be delivered.
How long do I have to keep the frames if I want to replace the lenses in the frames I am using?
The number of days to keep the lenses will depend on the delivery date of the lenses. If it is difficult to keep the lenses, you can use the glasses until they arrive at our store, and when they arrive at a later date, we can keep them for as little as one to two hours and place the new lenses in the frames.
Do you offer high-curve lenses with power?
We are handling the following products. Please contact us for more information.
I would like to have glasses made. Are they the same power as contact lenses?
The power of spectacle lenses is different from that of contact lenses. While spectacle lenses are adjusted based on the premise that they are placed 12mm away from the eye, contact lenses are adjusted based on the premise that they are placed directly on the cornea, so the power of contact lenses will naturally vary.
Please tell me about the proper way to wipe lenses.
Flush the lens surface with water to remove large dust particles. After that, it is ideal to lightly press and wipe off the water with a tissue, and finally wipe with a spectacle cloth.

About Frames

Can I purchase frames by mail order?
Not available for purchase.
We are strongly aware that eyeglasses are medical instruments, and we believe that only a proper fitting can provide the true vision of eyeglasses.
Can you put lenses on eyeglass frames purchased at other stores?
We can also replace lenses with frames purchased at other stores. We do not charge any processing fee for this service.
Can I order items that are not available in the store?
If it is a brand that we carry, we can order it for you. Please let us know the brand name, product name, color number, size, etc.
(Some items may be difficult to order, so please consult our staff.)

About Sunglasses

Can you make sunglasses with glasses?
Sunglasses can be made with prescription lenses as well as spectacles. We can make sunglasses not only for nearsightedness and farsightedness, but also for bifocal lenses.
What kind of sunglass lenses do you offer?
We deal in polarized lenses by TALEX, polarized lenses by HOYA, adjustable lenses, and colored lenses. All of these lenses can be used with power and bifocals.
Is wearing sunglasses effective in protecting the eyes from UV rays?
All of the sunglasses we offer are UV-protected, so they are effective. However, UV protection is also provided by ordinary transparent spectacle lenses, so if you are concerned about preventing cataracts, etc., you can use ordinary spectacles as well. Sunglasses are only an item to prevent glare. UV" and "glare" are two different things.

Repair and after-sales service

If I feel that the lens power does not match after purchase, can I have the lenses replaced?
We will replace the lens free of charge within 3 months.
We will check your vision and power again and exchange the power. If you have a prescription from an ophthalmologist, we cannot change the prescription value without your permission, so please have the ophthalmologist check your eyes again and issue a prescription. Please have the prescription issued again by your ophthalmologist and we will replace the prescription with the power of the prescription. (Children up to elementary school age are guaranteed for six months.)
How long does it take to repair a broken frame?
It usually takes one week. For frames purchased at our store, it may be possible to order parts at a lower price. Please ask our staff.
Can you adjust eyeglass frames purchased at other stores?
We will make adjustments, but we cannot be held responsible for any frame breakage or damage during the adjustment process. In the unlikely event that a frame is broken during adjustment, we can repair it for a fee, but we do not provide any monetary guarantee. If it is obvious that the frame will be damaged during adjustment, we will refuse to adjust the frame. Please understand that the accuracy of the adjustment will be limited to the best we can do.
Can you repair eyeglass frames purchased at other stores?
We can provide this service for a fee.

About Eye Vision

At what age does presbyopia begin?
It varies very much from person to person, but it is generally said that reading becomes difficult at about age 45.
What is the difference between presbyopia and nearsightedness/farsightedness?
Presbyopia is a condition in which the regulatory power of the eye deteriorates and the eye is unable to focus on near objects. In other words, if you wear glasses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism that allow you to see clearly in the distance, and you can see near objects, you do not have presbyopia. On the other hand, if you cannot see letters at close range because they are blurred, you have presbyopia.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of bifocal lenses?
The greatest advantage of wearing bifocals is that you can see text at hand, which has become difficult to see due to presbyopia, with a single pair of glasses, without having to remove your glasses or replace them with reading glasses. The disadvantage is that the range of vision is somewhat narrower because the power to see both far and near is contained in a single pair of spectacles. In addition to bifocal lenses, there are other lenses that complement the disadvantages, such as intermediate-distance lenses and near-distance lenses, so please contact us first to discuss your concerns.

About Children's Glasses

My child does not want to wear glasses. Please tell me about possible problems that can occur if he/she does not wear glasses.
The answer is only in general terms, as it varies from person to person. In the case of children, please make a judgment based on the diagnosis of an ophthalmologist in particular.
Farsightedness: High possibility of amblyopia and strabismus. Please instruct your child to wear spectacles as they can only be corrected in childhood.
Astigmatism and nearsightedness: Many children with insufficient vision develop the habit of squinting every time they see something they want to see in the distance. Also, some children may become accustomed to not being able to see, and their vision may not improve to 1.0 or 1.2 even if they wear glasses.
Does wearing glasses from an early age hasten the progression of myopia?
It is said that myopia does not progress faster because of the wearing of spectacles, regardless of whether the wearer is an adult or a child.
What is the difference between children's sports glasses and regular glasses?
Sports spectacles are made with the expectation that a ball or other object will hit your face, so even if it does, the spectacles will not break and the lenses will not crack (we recommend unbreakable plastic lenses). (On the other hand, ordinary spectacles are not designed to withstand the violent impact of a ball hitting your face, so if a strong force is applied, the frame can easily deform and there is a high possibility of injury to your face.
Which is worse for the eyes, playing video games or watching TV?
In terms of looking at things, there is no correlation between video games and eye damage because video games are bad for the eyes, since there is no difference in watching TV, whether it is a game, drama, or variety show.
How far away should I be when watching TV?
Depending on the size of the TV set, it should be viewed at a distance that is not painful for an adult to watch. Children who watch TV closer than necessary may have advanced myopia and "cannot see, so they move closer to the distance where they can see". If you think this is the case, we recommend an eye test.

About Hearing Aids

Will continued use of hearing aids hasten the progression of my hearing loss?
Generally speaking, hearing loss with or without a hearing aid is a gradual loss of hearing. This does not mean that wearing a hearing aid will prevent hearing loss, or that leaving the hearing loss untreated will make it more likely to decline.
Do I still need to have my hearing checked regularly after purchasing a hearing aid?
With today's digital hearing aids, you can adjust your hearing as often as you like, even after purchase. If you feel that your hearing has changed from what it used to be, we recommend that you have it tested again.
Are there any adverse effects of not wearing a hearing aid?
When hearing loss reduces verbal stimulation to the brain, there is an increased likelihood that the ability to hear words will deteriorate more quickly. Recent medical conferences have reported that hearing loss increases the incidence of dementia due to reduced stimulation of the brain and reduced opportunities to communicate with those around them.
