The factory produces several million lenses per month, ranging from custom-made lenses to stock lenses for general power lenses to custom-made lenses for orders received from all over the world.

Unfortunately, taking any pictures inside the factory was prohibited, so I can only show a picture of the lobby, but the Japanese staff stationed at the factory gave us a detailed explanation of the particulars of lens creation and the things they take care of.

There are many details, but what impressed me the most was the commitment to delivery time and quality.

In the case of custom-made lenses, we begin manufacturing within an hour of placing the order in order to meet the one-week appointment with the customer. The lenses are then flown from Bangkok to Narita Airport every night on an overnight flight for delivery to our store.

However, it is meaningless to deliver quickly only if the quality cannot be maintained. In order to improve the quality of the product, the condition of the finished product was strictly checked by human eyes at every step of the production process. If any defects were found at this stage, they were returned to the initial process and re-created in a great hurry to meet the delivery date.

The lenses, which were created with such a spectacular distribution system and a lot of human effort, are assembled and processed to fit the frames at our store and delivered to the customer as eyeglasses.

I was aware of this as a matter of course, but when I saw the lenses, I was able to gain a great deal of insight. I was able to see the underlying strength of Made by HOYA.
