Maintenance precautions for eyeglasses

I would like to talk about how to maintain your glasses at home.

Although there are eyeglass shampoo, eyeglass cleaner, and other eyeglass-specific cleaning detergents on the market, there is an easy way to clean eyeglasses at home using items that are relatively close at hand.

Please rinse the entire pair of glasses with water, then drop a tiny bit of neutral detergent on the lens of the glasses and nudge the frame and lens parts with your fingers. Then, have the spectacles rinsed gently with water, and wipe off the water completely with a tissue or a spectacle wipe.

Caution:If water droplets are left on the lens, they may leave marks, so wipe them off completely after washing.

Conversely, there are detergents that should not be used.
alkaline detergentandacid detergentshould not be used.

Specifically, "soap" and "mildly acidic foaming hand soap". Please be aware that these are detergents that you may find in your bathroom.

Caution:Please note that frames made of natural materials such as tortoiseshell frames, buffalo horn, and wood require different handling methods. The above is only a general maintenance procedure for metal and plastic frames.
