HOYA's new bifocal lens "Tsumugi" is now on sale

HOYA has a new bifocal lens design.
We usually do not introduce this lens very often, but this is the first time in a while that we will introduce it well.

HOYA LUX Pongee(Tsumugi).

The new HOYA LUX Pongee is a bifocal lens developed to offer the latest technology, "Indivisual Design," which was only available in some high-end lenses, at a slightly more affordable price.

So what is an indivisual anyway? Many of you may be asking, "What is an indivisual?

In addition to the existing design that provides easy vision with minimal distortion, the lens is custom-made by measuring the customer's selected frame's peculiarities (angle when viewed from the side, angle when viewed from above, and distance between the eyes and lenses) and correcting the lens power to match the selected frame, thus bringing the lens as close as possible to the ideal value The lens is then corrected to match the selected frame, and is called an "individual lens.

While the number of elaborately designed frames has increased recently and there are more design variations, the number of frames that opticians can freely adjust has decreased compared to the past. Glasses are also a medical device, so there is no reason why the way you see should be neglected just because you wear a pair of cool glasses.

Therefore, Indivisual Lens is a new design method that provides the best vision by correcting the lens power to achieve the ideal lens angle, simply by adjusting the basic wearing position to the customer's face.

The lens design is as follows, and the same design can also be made with "bifocal lenses that focus on hand vision" or "intermediate-distance lenses that are lenses for indoor use.

In this area, we will work together to find the best in conversation with the customer.

I've introduced various good points about indivisual lenses, but what have you been doing with them?

The answer was to fit the eyeglass frames to the customer's face, as close as possible to the manufacturer's ideal values. (Of course, this was sometimes difficult depending on the design...)

The eyeglass industry has been improving vision by improving the design of the lenses themselves, but I think it is no exaggeration to say that in the past few years we have been steering the industry in the direction of matching the lens design to the frame and face shape chosen by the customer.

With the launch of this lens, almost half of the bifocal lens lineup introduced at the store will be indivisual lenses.

These lenses are custom-made for each customer, which cannot be purchased at so-called discount stores.

There are many customers who never remove their glasses except to sleep.

If so, please try the "comfortable way of seeing" that suits you best.
