The NP-606 is a follow-up version of the NP-60 series, which has been deployed since 2008 and continues to be remade in several different forms.

The NP-60 series is what I call the "Tokoro George model," and although the shape of the lens has changed over time to match modern trends, it is a very popular model with strong roots.

The standard inverted R hinge allows for perfect adjustment of the temple against the side of the head for a comfortable fit.

This model has design accents by making the hinges visible from the front and changing the thickness of the temples from front to back.
