Recommendation for bifocals

(This article is for those 45 and older)

Have you ever heard of "bifocal lenses"?

Most of you are probably thinking, "What's that?" I am sure that most of you are probably thinking, "What is that? On the other hand, there are many people who have heard of "bifocal lenses.

In fact, there are derivative lenses of bifocal lenses called intermediate-distance lenses and near-distance lenses.

Most people probably do not know about this lens until their optician suggests it to them, so we would like to introduce how to use this lens and what makes it very useful.

First of all, the fact that there are different types of lenses in addition to bifocal lenses means that there are functions specific to those lenses.

Below is a rough classification of lenses. The green lens labeled "indoor-only lens" is the intermediate-distance bifocal lens, and the green lens labeled "desk-work lens" is the near-bifocal lens.

Looking at the figure, you may have noticed that the major difference between lenses is the difference in "depth of view" and "width of view".

Progressive lenses, as typified by bifocal and intermediate lenses, are

When you can see "far to near." Narrowing of near field of vision

If we limit the distance to some extent =. It gives you a broader perspective.

The principle is the same for all lenses. (This is true for lenses from any manufacturer)

Bifocal lenses can also provide distance to near vision, but inevitably there will be problems such as a narrower range of near vision or the need to position the lens perfectly to see.

As I mentioned earlier, this is where indoor lenses that focus on a narrower range, such as "intermediate-distance lenses," come into great use.

Especially for those who have increased indoor work such as teleworkers and those who usuallyFor those who do a lot of computer work, rather than wearing bifocal lenses all day long, it would be very comfortable to use spectacles with intermediate-distance lenses while working at hand and change to spectacles with bifocal lenses when commuting or driving a car.

Usually, when we recommend lenses to customers in stores, we use the phrase "bifocal lenses plus one lens.

What does that mean?

Bifocals + Intermediate Bifocals

Bifocals + Bifocals

Bifocals + reading glasses (single vision for near)

+The reason why there are different types of +1 bottles is that each person has his or her own need for depth.

With bifocals, you can watch TV while working at your desk and walk around with them on.

However, if you prioritize a wider field of vision and less distortion than with intermediate-distance spectacles, then near-distance spectacles or reading glasses are the way to go. (At the same time, depth perception becomes more difficult.)

The selection of lenses for comfortable vision is actually a matter of personal preference, so what we have introduced today is only an example.

Please visit our store and discuss your problems with us, and we will introduce you to lenses that fit your lifestyle.
