Introducing 999.9 NPI-01.

Those familiar with 999.9 may not be familiar with the acronym NPI, but this is a new series.

At first glance, these frames look like plastic frames, but they are eyeglass frames made of polyamide resin.

999.9 plastic frames are made of acetate, a plant-based material made from cotton and high-purity pulp, which is highly resistant to heat, wear, and impact.

In the eyeglass industry, while it has been a strong resin for many years, it has often been used in low-quality frames by so-called "cheap shops" to reduce costs, and even if the resin itself has high performance, its durability when assembled as a product was very low. Therefore, it can be said that this frame material has long been avoided by stores that deal in solid frames.

However, this time, when I heard that 999.9 made glasses in Japan, taking advantage of the advantages of polyamide resin, I decided to introduce them to the market.

This is the first plastic frame with a double-front structure in a long time.

By combining the plastic part that supports the face and the metal part that supports the lens, the lens is designed to release force and prevent the lens from warping against the face in relation to the expansion of the frame.

In addition, the use of 999.9's iconic inverted R parts gently cradles the head, despite the thickness of the front and temples. Another feature is that polyamide resin is lighter than acetate, so it does not feel as heavy as it looks.
