How to choose reading glasses for the first time (for vision)

Many people may feel as if they are getting very old when they hear the word "presbyopia" and shy away from it.

However, if you cannot see close up or if your eyes get tired when looking at close objects, the quality of your work and life will be significantly reduced, and there is a lot of fatigue buildup in your body, so we recommend that you take proper measures.

The onset of presbyopia varies greatly from person to person. Presbyopia is said to be caused by the deterioration of the muscles that support the lens, the part of the eye that focuses the eye.

However, the reason why everyone here does not have presbyopia in a horizontal line is that there are individual differences in the power to see far, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, and everyone has a different power for glasses to see near, in order to be able to see at hand for the power that varies among individuals.

You can hardly see things with your friend's glasses on,

This is because the power of a pair of glasses is a very personal thing.

Now, it is said that due to the deterioration of these muscles, it becomes difficult to read documents and books at approximately 40 centimeters at the age of about 45 years old.Reading glasses and bifocals correct this by the power of the lenses, making it easier to see.Basically, reading glasses only focus on 40 centimeters when adjusted to 40 centimeters, which results in blurring when looking into the distance.

Bifocals are spectacles that allow the wearer to see from far to near with a single pair of glasses. Compared to reading glasses, the field of vision at close range is narrower, but the greatest advantage of these glasses is that you do not have to change them every time you put them on.

There are many other anti-presbyopia lenses available, but which one to choose depends on your lifestyle.

For example:

Myopia and mild astigmatism who used to wear spectacles
Bifocals are recommended. You'll be good to go in no time.

I've never worn spectacles with power lenses before.
If you do not want to wear glasses in the future, reading glasses only when necessary. If wearing and removing spectacles is a hassle, we recommend bifocals. In some cases, bifocals may be a better choice.

I can usually see far, my eyes get tired easily, and the distance is blurry after work.
Bifocals are normally best but can be cumbersome, and we recommend that you try reading glasses or bifocals and choose the ones that suit your own life.

Even if a customer rushes to an optician in this way, we will change what we say depending on the degree of the customer, and it is common for us to recommend bifocal lenses to customer A but not to customer B.

This is not meant to be mean-spirited, but rather to indicate that lenses are clearly not suitable for everyone depending on their original power, eyesight, and lifestyle.

We, professionals, have many years of experience in this field, and we make recommendations or not based on our knowledge of how strong the request is, because although there are good points, bad points tend to become apparent in terms of the degree.

Therefore, rather than coming to us with a specific lens in mind, it is easier to talk with us from the perspective of what we can do to solve the problems that your eyes are currently facing in your life.

Finally, it is easier to get used to bifocals if you start early.

It is a good idea to be proactive in adopting them if they suit your lifestyle. Unless you are an expert, people can't tell whether today's bifocals are just glasses for nearsightedness or bifocals.
