The eyeglass frame industry has two major exhibitions a year, and yesterday I went to the first of the spring exhibitions.

This year's Spring Exhibition is spread over two major dates, and our store is scheduled for a third, as appointments cannot be consolidated into a single day.

Many retailers of eyeglasses go to the exhibitions held by each brand at this trade show to exchange information and purchase the frames they prefer. Basically, new products are announced at this time, so retailers select frames by mixing their popular products with the new products. From morning until evening, we visit many exhibition halls to select products. This time, we visited 5 exhibition halls.

Some orders are actually placed and come in immediately, while others take several months.

Overall, many brands say it will be after July or August due to the delay in production at the factory in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture.
